I had a complete hysterectomy at age 42. and I have been using 0.01 Progesterone and still using at age 71. Now I'm afraid I will age overnight if I get off from the progesterone cream. some advice will be greatful.

Hi Kumy

To answer your question, indefinitely. I am 70 years old and have no intention of ever stopping the use of Natpro progesterone cream.

I assume that the "0.01 progesterone" refers to the progesterone concentration. If it is 0.01% progesterone, that would be an extremely low concentration, just 0.1 mg per gram of cream which is far below the strength of most progesterone creams on the market. For comparison, Natpro contains 3% progesterone and that is the amount that we advise on.

What is the name of the progesterone product you are using?

I have never heard of anyone ageing overnight. However, stopping progesterone can result in symptoms associated with Estrogen Dominance, particularly if progesterone and estrogen have been in balance for some time.

Is there a particular reason why you are considering stopping progesterone?

Take care.
