Hi there Bless you for the kind words! I'm so happy you've found comfort in the site, that makes my heart glad. Too many of us feel bad for too long, and often it's so simple to put right. If you have such bad Hot Flushes, you will need to use 400mg/day, possibly more to help them. It can take only 4-5 days for this to resolve on such a high amount, but it depends so much on how bad they are, and how much excess oestrogen you have. Please read through the page, as it gives more info on them. The other symptoms you have I had too, I remember so well the shaky inside and anxious feeling which never went away. Well thank heavens I don't have that anymore! The Energy boost I take daily now, it helps keep my mind clear, my energy levels don't drop now, particularly in the afternoon. But I do sometimes forget, and then I notice! No matter how well we eat, no amount of good, organic food can counter all the pollution we have to contend with. So please try it and let me know what you think. It's fine for your husband too, there are plenty of nutrients in it that are vital for the heart. If cost is a factor, please rather increase the progesterone you use, and don't take the EB. Your vitamin D is very low, the NHS gives 50nmol/L as 'adequate' and the FDA gives 75nmol/L. But specialists say it should be between 125 - 250nmol/L, the less conservative say 200-250nmol/L. Please have a test done, your husband too. Ironically it appears the statins raise vitamin D levels which is why they think it works, see here and here. You might like to read this paper here too. Vitamin D is vital for preventing heart disease, see here, here, here and here. Continued below.

thank you Part 2

Hi there Another nutrient he could consider is taurine, this amino acid is also vital, see here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. For more info on vitamin D levels, testing etc see the Vitamin D Council, GrassrootsHealth, Birmingham Hospital and Vitamin D Links websites. Blood levels should be 70-100ng/ml or 175-250nmol/L and not the 30ng/ml or 75nmol/L most labs and doctors regard as adequate. The minimum daily dose should be 5000iu's per day, although the latest research indicates it should be 10,000iu's per day, see here. Please have a test done. Hair Loss is a big problem, this page gives info on all the possible factors which contribute to it. Some are mild and it can be reversed, some not. Maybe he could take a read through it. Take care Wray
