Still symptomatic

by Emma

Hi. I've been on 200mg cream as recommended for my perimenopause.

This is my second cycle and I am still symptomatic. For example I am due my period and I am aggitated and irritable.

Would this indicate I need more than 200mg cream? I have been trying to ride it out, but I never seem to get better.

Thanks.

Hi Emma

Are you using progesterone every day? It really is needed once in Peri-Menopause unless you are TTC and have a regular monthly cycle.

As mention many times on this website, progesterone therapy is not easy, I wish it was it can take 2-6 months before the body adjusts. If you find that 200mg is not helping you as in your case, then increase the amount, find an amount that suits you. Once ALL your adverse symptoms clear, then and only then reduce the amount used to again, a level that suits you. Once progesterone is dominant, all will fall into place.
