question about once or twice a day for transdermal (cream) application

by W. Green
(Toronto, Canada)

I have been using a total of 20 mg a day divided into two equal doses of 10 mg each.

The instructions say twice a day, but other places and formulations say once a day or once or twice a day.

They also say to take one week off every month.

My question is can I take the total dose in one daily application or is it best to divide the dose over twice a day.

Also, the one week off seems targeted at women. Do men also take one week off per month or is continual use ok every day without taking a break.

Hi W Green

As men do not have a monthly cycle there is no need to take a break at all. Progesterone should be used no less than twice a day. This will allow progesterone levels to remain stable, using once a day causes levels to spike.

Continue using the cream twice a day as you are currently using it. There is so much misinformation on the internet today, people get very confused.
