ADHD in a child and high blood pressure
by ANne

I have been looking into progesterone for my son, 11, who is very hyper, impulsive and has Down syndrome. I am wondering if progesterone will help him?

Also, my husband has very high blood pressure. On many meds, wondering if progesterone will help with this?

Thanks!

Anne

Hi Anne

If you type in ADHA and high blood pressure in the search bar provided, you will find so much info on these two conditions. Progesterone is a calming hormone so it will certainly help with ADHA. Diet is very important, too much sugar and not enough fat and protein are major causes.

If the high BP is caused by vasoconstriction, progesterone can help as it is a vasodilator.
