Pituitary tumor

by Stacey
(Cookeville, tn usa)

Hi:) I am 28 years old and had a milky discharge after lots of headaches and blood work I found out my prolactin level was up to 72. I went for a mri and they found I have a pituitary tumor the size of 10mm. I was wondering where and what this could be caused from. I do not want to be on medication my entire life. All your help will be appreciated.

Hi Stacey, i found out many years ago i had a pit tumor also and took a drug called dostenix for a couple years . My tumor was small and my doctor said i could stop the meds as long as it wasn't growing and i kept it checked. There is also surgery they can do to remove it . i have a friend that had a tumor also but hers was producing cortisol and making her have some serious health issues so she had no choice but the surgery.
