low progesterone and the IUD
by: Wray

Hi Ching It sounds as if you are not ovulating. Has anyone checked for PCOS? You could have too low a level of vitamin D, this is essential for ovulation to take place. Please have a test done, for more info see the Vitamin D Council, GrassrootsHealth Birmingham Hospital and Vitamin D Links websites. Blood levels should be 70-100ng/ml, and not the 30ng/ml labs and doctors use as a cut off point for adequate. Progesterone is also essential for a successful pregnancy, we have more info on our page Pregnancy. This explains the role progesterone plays and how much to use etc. Take care Wray
