Lab test results

Hello,

I recently took a serum Estriol and Progesterone test 10 days before my expected cycle. I'm 53 years old and still have cycles about every 28 days. My results showed Progesterone value 0.4mg/mL and Estradiol value of 34 pg/mL

Since I'm in Peri menopause is this considered a normal ratio? I tried doing the calculation but not sure I arrive at the correct ratio to determine estrogen dominance.

Hi JK

No that is not a normal ratio whether in Peri-Menopause or not. Your progesterone:estrogen ratio works out at 12:1, it should be around 600:1. You need a lot of progesterone before you get to that ratio. Please read the Hormone Testing page for more information on this.
