Fibroids grew on progesterone cream

by Lori
(Toronto )

Since I starting using progesterone cream March 2017 I have a rapid growth of fibroids . The first one was found July 2017 at 4cm. Now as of today I have 3 large ones 1) 6 cm 2) 8 cm 3) 9 cm also a bunch of little ones. I thought progesterone cream helps shrink them?
I was taking 200 mg daily I don’t think it was high because my test results showed very low progesterone compared to estrogen. Do I stop with the progesterone? What now?

Hi Lori

Progesterone does help with Fibroids. Progesterone can't stimulate cells to grow, only estrogen can do that. Try using a little more progesterone and see if that helps. It does take time, so patience is needed.

Vitamin D3 is very important as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone, optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL. Nothing less than 5,000iu's is needed daily. Co-factors are needed when taking D3, magnesium and vitamin K2 with no soy are the important ones.
