Hi there Yes it can be. It's an anti-inflammatory so helps with inflammation. If any is present I would advise avoiding intercourse until it's healed well. The amount I recommend is 100-200mg/day, use some of the chosen amount to put in the vagina. It won't adversely affect the male partner, in fact we have many men using it to increase libido.
