Coming off HRT

by Debbie
(Missouri)

I had a my uterus removed in my early 2o's. I never had any hormone replacement for 20 plus years. I started the natural pellet implant HRT last march but I haven't done very well with it. I have gained weight, got very aggitated. Can't sleep, just to name a few. When they did the first blood test they said my estrogen was at a zero. and after almost a year of getting these pellets put in and taking a progesterone pill (50mg)each night it had just barely went up. I did your test on here but I went to order the cream and it said it was out. I sent a note to have them let me know when it was in stock. Do you think the cream could help me?
Thanks Deb

Coming off HRT
by: Wray

Hi Deb It doesn't surprise me you haven't done well on the HRT implant. Or the oral progesterone, most of it gets destroyed in the gut and liver, leaving very little to circulate. But it would be enough to stimulate oestrogen. We have more about this on our Oestrogen Dominance page. I do believe the progesterone will help you, but because of the HRT, I think you will get oestrogen dominance when starting it. I recommend 100-200mg/day or more if symptoms are bad. Please don't reduce the progesterone as many do, thinking it's the progesterone causing the problem. It's not, it's because it's stimulating oestrogen, the only way to overcome it is to use more. We do have more info on our Menopause page. The cream is now in stock again. I do hope you come right. Take care Wray

Thanks Wray, for answering my post. I just ordered the cream and I can't wait to get it. I know it will take sometime to get me on the right track but I am so ready. I will keep you posted on my progress and I have 3 sisters that I know needs this cream also. My Daughter is only 33 and I have been looking around your site , you know from what I have been seeing out of her I think she could benefit from this cream.

Thanks again!
Deb

Hi Deb I do appreciate hearing back from people, it gives me more insight into the whole progesterone story. There are 4 million women in the States who suffer every month, and needlessly too! Not to mention those who have problems during puberty, or get PND after birth, or those going through Peri-menopause and Menopause! And all they need is a little bit of help from progesterone. I put my daughter on it when she was fourteen, as I went through a tough time during puberty and I didn't want her to. She's now 30 and still using it. Please don't forget the oestrogen dominance! Take care Wray
