Hi Sarah Yes, please empty the contents of the capsule into a small amount of skin cream, and apply that. This will ensure you get the full benefit of the progesterone. Currently you're getting very little....."The liver and gut region removed a mean of 96 per cent of the progesterone entering these tissues" see here. Oral progesterone is the least effective Delivery system. It does work, see here. We also have a page on Pregnancy you could look through. There are plenty of papers on the page about miscarriages, anything from 200-600mg/day is used. If at any time you feel adverse symptoms coming on, indicating a possible miscarriage, please increase to 400mg/day. And don't be worried about conceiving, you have already done so 3 times. But it's apparent that something is causing you to loose them. It could be a lack of progesterone, but it can be from a lack of vitamin D, as this can also cause miscarriages, see here, here and here. A lack of vitamin D also reduces the benefits of progesterone. So it could be you have enough of this, but your vitamin D level is too low. Please have a test done. For more info on vitamin D levels, test kits etc see the Vitamin D Council, GrassrootsHealth and Birmingham Hospital. Blood levels should be 70-100ng/ml (175-250nmol/L) and not the 30ng/ml (75nmol/L) most labs and doctors regard as adequate. The minimum daily dose should be 5000iu's per day, although recent research indicates it should be 10,000iu's per day, see here. Continued below

Hi Sarah Please watch the videos on vitamin D at the bottom of the pregnancy page I've given you. Another nutrient you might consider taking is taurine, it's vital for the developing foetus, and for breast feeding, see here, here, here, here, here and here. Take care Wray
