What about Progestelle? I used to purchase it here as the "gold standard"?

by Tia
(Bentonville, AR)

Hello again after a few years.

When I first found this lovely sight years ago, Progestelle was available for purchase as a "gold standard" due to the simple and "clean" ingredients. I see now that it's no longer available here but NatPro cream is now the item of choice? The cons of cream-based BHRT have been extensively disseminated due to its ingredients, so now I'm more confused than before.

Please help - I'm just seeking to understand the reasons behind this change. More specifically, has Progestelle now fallen out of favor?

Lots of "why's" I'm hoping to have answered. Post-menopausal. now and the info "out there" seems more contradictory than ever.

My thanks!
Tia

What about Progestelle..
by: Justine

Hello Tia,

Thank you for your kind comments about our site, we are glad it has been a supportive source of information for you.

I think you may be confused concerning us selling Progestelle. We have never sold it, Natpro has always been the cream we have sold, as this is the organic cream that was developed by Wray Whyte almost 30 years ago, (Wray being the woman who created this site.)

Here is a link to Wray's story...

Here is a link to information on Natpro... (ingredients, how it is made, how to order, etc.)

We do not use harmful chemicals or additives in our progesterone cream, only vegetable based ingredients and bio-identical progesterone that has been made from the wild yam as an origin source.

Progestelle is also a good option if you would prefer to use an oil based product but the strength of progesterone in Progestell is not the same as Natpro.. just be sure that whatever product you choose to go with, you know how much progesterone you are receiving per ml/mg of product based on your needs.

All the best!
Justine

Ah! Got it - thank you!

Justine,

Thanks for clarifying. Wow I was so sure, but you're right.
The question now is where WAS I purchasing it from? lol

SO grateful for Wray's incredible wealth of knowledge & shared information.

So, to confirm, the ingredients in creams that would be considered xenoestrogens are not used in Natpro?

Is there a listing of the ingredients to be avoided somewhere within this site?

And, finally, what do we know about Progestelle? I can't find anything on the Women's Therapeutic Institute, LLC in Cedar Park, TX aside from the name & location?

Thank you again for y'all's assistance!
Tia

Hi Tia,

Confirmed, the ingredients in creams that would be considered xenoestrogens are NOT used in Natpro. That was the whole reason Wray developed Natpro.. to make a natural, organic, human and animal friendly cream base ;)

The list of potentially harmful ingredients that you may find in other creams would be extensive, we recommend using the EWG website to research the ingredient you are wanting information on.

Progestelle is made using coconut oil and progesterone.. so all natural ingredients.

Hope this helps!

Warm wishes,
Justine
