Trying to tolerate progesterone cream

by andrea Ockenden
(Uk)

Hello
I am keen to try your NATPRO. Iam currently on Estriogel and Bio identical progesterone both low doses.
I have struggled to increase progesterone either cream or oral as it gives me very bad breast pain in one breast within 2 days of increasing.

I would love to stop taking estrogen and try your NATPRO but am I likely to tolerate this at a high enough dose without getting breast pains.

I am 65 and also hypo Hashi

Many thanks for this amazing site

Andrea

Trying to tolerate progesterone cream

Hi Andrea

If you study this website you will see that we do not believe that any woman needs to take extra estrogen. There are well over 100 estrogen mimics in our Environment as it is. When you say low dose of progesterone, what is that? It is difficult to answer without knowing. Usually 100-200mg per day is needed using a good quality organic cream such as Natpro which is a 3% cream. If you are using anything else please adjust so that it equates to Natpro. Oral progesterone is not the best Delivery Method as around 96% gets destroyed by the gut and liver, see here. I am really not surprised to read that you are experiencing adverse symptoms.

Tender breasts could be that you are not using progesterone correctly which you aren't, plus excess estrogen causing Estrogen Dominance symptoms. Or you could be lacking in iodine, selenium and tyrosine which can lead to thyroid issues. Have you been tested? The How to use Progesterone Cream page will explain in more detail. Progesterone therapy is not easy but if used correctly you will benefit.

Please make sure that your Vitamin D3 level is optimal as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone and is connected to every single function cell in our bodies making it vital.
