Surprised!

by Kathleen
(West Plains, MO, USA)

I have had a fairly easy menopause physically, only occasionally experiencing minor hot flashes, not unusually irritable. However, I did experience a few days a month feeling highly anxious, like some doom was about to descend.

This has increased gradually until I was in a constant state of low level anxiety and hated to go to bed at night, knowing there would be periods of intense fearfulness. I started using a non-prescription topical cream from the health store that is a blend of red clover and progesterone. Within only a few minutes of application the anxiety subsides. Now that I am conscientiously applying a dab to my wrists twice a day, I am back to being confident and optimistic. Without my awareness, I had also become very non-productive - a classic example of the couch potato when not at work. That too is gone. I feel nothing from the cream not even a little tingle, but if I neglect applying it, within a day or two the fear is back.

Such a simple solution for such a debilitating, tormenting problem. I'm totally amazed that it actually works at all, let alone so well and quickly.

Surprised!

Hi Kathleen I'm so pleased the progesterone has helped you, but amazed such a small amount has. I recommend between 100-200mg/day. Progesterone does help anxiety, as it activates the GABA receptor sites. GABA is one of our most calming neurotransmitters. Please see our page on Anxiety for more info. You might be pleased to know it also helps with ageing too, please see here, here, here and here. Take care Wray

HELP
by: Anonymous

Thanks sooo much for the recent post. That sounds like a Great way to relieve symptoms. I actually never had any symptoms PRIOR to this mess in me now. Posted Why Below. That is totally me at this point. I have the thought in my brain to do anything except stare at the PC all day long. I'm the person who was given 3x the amount of Estrogen needed for my body on 10/14. I have bloodwork on Friday to see where levels are now. There was an attempt to remove the Pellets with no success. Needless to say, I am miserable. Clueless on where to look or who to ask about for advice. I hear others talking about their dr went through everything with them BEFORE inserting the Bio Idential Hormone Pellets. NOT AT ALL. Now I have a second dr Attempting to fix a BIG MESS. Mind you, I have not had womanly functions for MANY years due to low body weight. MY BODY IS IN TRAUMA.

If there is ANYONE or ANYWHERE I MAY TURN to go STEP BY STEP what happens along the way ONCE the Hormones are IN YOUR BODY. I will be one to tell anyone who wants to get them, NEVER EVER TRUST A DR TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE YOU GET EVERY QUESTION ANSWERED. Thanks so much.
