Question for Wray about how much does your daughter use?
by Bonnie
Hi Wray. I'm just wondering does your daughter use the progesterone cream every day and how much does she use? I'm around her age and I'm just curious.

Question for Wray about how much does your daughter use? by: Wray
Hi Bonnie No she doesn't use it daily, but follows her cycle, using it from ovulation for the next 14 days. The luteal phase lasts 12-14 days, but I prefer women to use it for the full 14 days, to make sure they are getting sufficient. She normally uses about 170mg/day, or 5ml (1tsp) of Natpro per day. Interestingly she's just moved home, to a ship in fact! And her cycle has become very disrupted. She normally dances and teaches belly dancing, see Dance of the Orient. But currently she's performing trapeze twice a day as the ship travels around the Baltic. Any stress can upset the cycle hugely, moving home and changing jobs are amongst the top 5 stressors. I've suggested to her that she uses 200mg/day or more to get it regular again. We do have more info on our page How to use progesterone cream. Take care Wray

How much did your daughter use starting? by: Bonnie
When she started, did she use it only after ovulation as well? And did she start at 170 mg?

How much did your daughter use starting? by: Wray
Hi Bonnie No she didn't start on the 170mg/day as she was only 14 at the time. I suggested she used 1/2tsp cream per day, that gave her about 80mg/day progesterone. And her cycles at the time were so erratic, about 3 to 4 periods a year, that I told her to use it daily. It wasn't until she was about 18 that her periods were coming regularly. Or maybe earlier, and she hadn't bothered to change to following her cycle! She's been using it almost as long as I have, she started about 6 months after I did, and will be 30 in October. I don't know when she increased the amount, but probably at university when stress levels are high. Take care Wray
