No as our body produces progesterone all the time, male and female, however, as we get older we produce less progesterone which is why supplementing with progesterone is needed.

It should be around 600:1. No progesterone is used during Folicular phase as the body makes more progesterone then. Luteal phase the body produces less progesterone which is why progesterone is needed. The ratio really should be 600:1 at all times, but stress and excess estrogen as in Environmental Toxins affects this.
