Pregnant...Now what?!

I have been using progesterone cream this cycle to lengthen my luteal phase...(it is Internal Harmony with 25mg per pump) and today found out I am pregnant. Do I stop cold-turkey, wean or continue using the cream? Help!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I was hoping someone with more experience with progesterone would respond to you since I am still figuring things out for myself. I'm sure if you search the forum and website, you may find some answers. Here's my 2 cents. From what I've read, you should continue progesterone through the beginning of your pregnNcy. It is needed for a healthy pregnancy till later in your pregnancy when your placenta takes over and produces a lot. (Anyone out there, please correct me if I'm wrong). When I was pregnant I had to supplement with progesterone suppositories at the beginning. So my suggestion would be to continue with the cream until the 2nd trimester and then wean off slowly. I don't think there's anything wrong with continuing if you want but it's prob not necessariy since your body makes 300-400 mg on its own at the end. Good luck!
