No periods after natural progesterone cream

Hi Kaur Progesterone can upset the cycle when first using it, making it either early or late. This could be the reason. Another consideration, have you been under more stress lately, as this also upsets the cycle? Could you find out when your mother went into Menopause, it's a good indication when you will. It could be you are now in Peri-menopause, this start 5 to 10 years before menopause, and cycles become very erratic. Take care Wray

Dosage

Hi Kaur I had a friend who wasn't getting a period and she was taking about 200 milligrams. I suggested she up the cream to about about 500 milligrams. She hadn't had a period for 4 months, it took her 2 weeks at that amount and she got a full period. Use it straight through without a break until your estrogen gets lower then you can reduce slowly.

Is it safe to use that much progesterone cream? How do you put that much on? You'd have to be rubbing yourself with cream all day and would run out of a tube in two weeks? Is there an easier way to put that much cream on? And what would you do if you forgot it and were away for a week? Help!!

Cream
by: Wray

Hi there It is safe. Over 1200mg/day is given via IV transfusion to brain trauma victims, see here and here. Dr Dalton would give 2400mg/day to her patients with post natal psychosis. High amounts do require large amounts of cream, it also depends on the strength of the cream. If it's a low strength it would be difficult. But I can assure you it's not, it does go on. It can be applied hourly, in fact I recommend this if symptoms are severe. The 500mg/day that Annette recommended to her friend would finish one tube of Natpro in 4 days. Take care Wray
