Hi I am taking a high dose of progesterone around 2,000mg and I’m just wondering if there is a limit on how much topical progesterone can be absorbed at one time?
The body will absorb the amount that you use. What fascinates me though, why so much progesterone and what are your symptoms? These amounts are usually give to those suffering from severe psychosis and TBI suffers and usually administered intravenously, What cream are you using?

Is there a limit for absorption? by: Anonymous
Well 2,000mg is not my usual dose it’s about 400mg but went through a stressful time and the estrogen dominance symptoms came back slowly more and more I currently have not had a period in 6 months I have all the symptoms and I truly feel I need it I also have read that Wray even used 2,000mg temporarily from going through a stressful time.

Hi thanks for clearing that up. Please make sure that the cream that you are using equates to that of Natpro. Also your vitamin D3 level must be optimal at all times as stated on the website. A deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone and if stressed it depletes not only progesterone but D3 and other vital nutrients as well.

I am sure that you have read that information on the website is based on a 3% cream. If you are using a much higher concentration then you will be getting a huge amount of progesterone especially if using 2 000mg, even 400mg at a higher concentration is a lot. Of course that is your choice but I would reduced the amount of cream used so that it equates to Natpro's 3% cream.
Have you discussed this with the makers of the higher percentage cream?
