I often read on here that one eats a clean diet, what exactly is a clean diet? Does it mean organic foods or low carbs, or does it mean that food has been scrubbed clean? Just seems strange to me.
At last someone has asked that question! I have been wanting to ask it many times and I agree, it does seem strange.

It means what is says : eliminate junk food, excess carbs, sugar, adding organic foods like greens , that cleanse the system , and organic meats. Avoid Soy which is extremely bad for thyroid function!! And yes, wash vegetables before consuming! Drink a lot of water to purify the system, avoid soft drinks which pollute. Avoid excess fruit juices which are loaded with fructose. Sensible, healthy eating habits in a nut shell! Also, and very important, supplementing with vitamins and minerals. I hope that helps! All the best!

I like to think I eat pretty "clean." I don't touch gluten, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, most dairy (I sneak cheese occasionally and use organic butter). I try to make sure all my meat/fish/eggs are local antibiotic and hormone free or organic or pasture raised/ grass fed or whatever applies. Basically, I stay away from all processed foods. The only drinks I consume are water and herbal tea. I don't do any calorie counting or low carb anything.
...and yet...somehow I still always feel like crap, haha!
