When and how should progesterone cream be used?

by Shirley
(Maine)

I've been using progesterone cream for about 10 years now, and it has helped me alot as far as me being happier and having a good attitude and my PMS symptoms. Unfortunately, I have stopped using it for 5 months now, because I heard it is not good to put on your skin, since it is stored in the fat cells. My symptons have returned and I want to use it again. I came upon your website and liked what I read and the ingredients in your cream.
My question for you is can I always put the cream in my vaginal walls or will it not work after a while?

When and how should progesterone cream be used?

Hi Shirley There are so many misunderstandings about progesterone, that I've actually just done a page on them, see Progesterone Misconceptions. The vagina is an excellent place to use it, as it helps prevent dryness and inflammation. And it continues working wherever you chose to rub it. I've used it for 15 years now, and have twice a day applied it to my face, neck and breasts. Then I rub it on other areas I think need it, it's particularly helpful for aches and pains. We do have more info on our page How to use progesterone cream. Take care Wray
