terrorized by asthma since perimenopause
(Lexington, KY. USA)
At the age of 47 I developed asthma out of the 'blue.' I simply had difficulty getting my breath and after numerous trips to see the head of pulmonary in a clinic I received zero solutions. He simply prescribed inhalers and said he never really heard the asthma in my lungs. But I knew I had it and also realized it correlated with my cycles. I asked my gyn. who suggested birth control pills and I must admit for a few years they helps considerably. I am now in post menopause and am still having off and on debilitating asthma because my hormones levels are not balanced and I am estrogen dominant. My new gyn. suggested synthetic progesterone which most educated clinicians know or should know causes asthma. I am beyond thankful to have found this site. I am using bio identical natural progesterone cream but only 20 mg. which has done nothing whatsoever to help me thus far. In fact the asthma seems a bit worse. Today I decided to try and use a few more pumps and still no relief. I need to use a lot more I assume to find any relief according to this site. Is that okay since I am in post menopause and 59 years old? My other factors are all good including vitamin D and weight etc. Thank you so much for your thoughts. I am impressed with your patience and support regarding your readers.
