Can Prometrium capsules be cut and applied to the skin like cream?

Hi M

Yes they can be cut open and mixed with a good organic cream. You will be getting the full amount of progesterone that the capsules contain if applied to your skin as any form of oral progesterone is the least effective and 96% gets destroyed by the gut and liver. You might like to consider Natpro Progesterone Cream when your Prometrium runs out.

The 'How to use Progesterone' page below will explain how to use a cream correctly. Between 100-200mg is recommended, more if symptoms are severe.

I too would like to use the remainder of my prometrium pills, what type of organic cream are you speaking of to mix with the prometrium?

Any type of aqueous cream. Try and find one that has the least parabens etc.
