Progesterone Toxicity question

Hi, I am new here.

Conflicted about the use of progesterone. I have used it on and off for years and have been a big proponent but was recently made aware of progesterone toxicity, that the creams build up in the fat tissue causing all kinds of problems. (Even if you follow a rotation schedule). Attached is one site dedicated to bring awareness to the issue.

I simply do not know what to believe anymore, any input greatly welcome and appreciated!

Progesterone Toxicity question

Doctors wouldn't suggest using progesterone if it caused toxicity. The late Dr Kitty Dalton used to prescribe 2400mg to her patients who suffered from severe PND. Those suffering from TBI are given 1400mg per day.

Progesterone does not build up in the fatty tissue. Please read Progesterone Misconceptions as well as the references given.

Check the information.

If you read this website you posted on VERY carefully you will read that all the women which trialled this Wiley protocol using high levels of progesterone, they were all using oestrogen at the same time. No wonder the trials didn’t work. This particular website suggests to use progesterone only. Not oestrogen as well.

Progesterone intolerance
by: Mag

Hi Wray Can you help me please, I'm so confused.

I'm on estogel 4 pumps and trying to reduce to 3. As I have a uterus I was balancing with Noriday, two tablets daily. I recently came off the pill which was difficult but am having trouble using other types of progesterone, I seem to suffer from progesterone intolerance. I get very depressed when I start taking it but I need it to protect me from cancer of the uterus. Also my morning anxiety is very high without progesterone. l get adrenaline rushes and I have a constant tremor. I had a saliva test down which confirmed the estrogen dominance

Progesterone Intolerance

Hi Mag

As this website suggests, no women needs to take extra estrogen as it only adds to Estrogen Dominance symptoms. There are also well over 100 estrogen mimics in our Environment. Your intolerance to progesterone could be because you are not using enough, between 100-200mg is needed. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream page and the Anxiety page may also help you.

Vitamin D3 is very important as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone, optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL. Nothing less than 5,000iu's is needed daily. Co-factors are needed when taking D3, magnesium and vitamin K2 with no soy are the important ones.

Bad symptoms
by: Anonymous

Hi Joy, thanks for your reply.

I've reduced my estrogen to two pumps. Two days ago I used a progesterone pessary ( 200mg) and it caused such awful symptoms that I didn't use one last night. I understand that symptoms are worse at first, but if I carry on with it I won't be able to go to work, eat properly and I will need some sort of sedative. My thoughts have been extremely bad today. Anxiety is very high. Any suggestions?

Bad symptoms

Hi Mag

Progesterone therapy is not easy and can cause adverse symptoms when first using it because of the estrogen that you are using. It can take 2-6 months before symptoms improve and progesterone becomes dominant. Try using more progesterone to see if it will help speed this process up for you. Progesterone should be used no less than twice a day which is why a progesterone cream is preferred.
