Progesterone & IVF

by Lana
(Menomonee Falls, WI USA)

In October, I had my 1st IVF Cycle. After transfer, I was asked to give myself progesterone in oil (PIO) injections. Immediately, I found myself losing weight, clear mind, less water retention, better sleep, all muscle aches were gone, hair growth, & I could see my 30 year old face again.

The embryo did not implant, but I learned something from it. I need progesterone for general hormonal balance & health.

Does anyone have a dosage recommendation for using PIO during the luteal phase to help relieve symptoms, promote hormonal balance, & hopefully lead to a healthy pregnancy?

Hi Lana

I am surprised that you benefited from an oil, a cream is far better please read this study. You might also like to read the various Delivery Methods.

I can't help you with a dose for oil, but between 100-200mg progesterone cream is needed. Perhaps someone else can advise on how much oil to use. Please read How to use Progesterone
Cream
, Estrogen Dominance and Pregnancy Problems.

Something that so many forget or are unaware of is vitamin D3. A deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone, optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL. Nothing less than 5,000iu's is needed daily. Co-factors are needed when taking D3, magnesium and vitamin K2 with no soy are the important ones.
