Progesterone and Breast Cancer

by Jess
(UK)

I was treated for Breast cancer last year with a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. I have declined the the hormone therapy because I'm already having a dire time with menopausal symptoms. What I'm trying to find out is if it's safe to try progesterone cream to help with my sleep and other menopausal issues?
I had ER + lobular carcinoma. Nodes clear.
Would love some thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jess

I am pleased that you refused HRT, they all have a potential to cause harm, see here. Progesterone has been used successfully. Progesterone, and other natural cancer supplements, are essential to counter the estrogenic effects. Please read Natural Cancer Supplements. You might also like to read the reference page.

If you are going to try progesterone therapy please read the How to use Progesterone Cream and Estrogen Dominance pages.
