Hi, I'm 4 weeks pregnant with my second child and after 2 miscarriages at 4 and 5 weeks.
After the first miscarriage I had tests done. I was anaemic, low vit D, low zinc and high homocysteine levels. I also found out I have the MTHFR gene defect.
My first pregnancy was conceived easily and went well until about week 36 when the placenta began to fail and his birth weight didn't budge past 2.2kg. he was induced and labour went well and he's a happy 2 yr old now.
So now my doctor put me on clexane and progesterone pessaries, to prevent miscarriage. Reading the leaflet in the medicine box, it says not to take it if progesterone levels are normal. My blood test at 4 weeks said progesterone was 53 points. Is that normal range? THe doc said it was high, but didn't say whether it was normal. SO I'm concerned that taking progesterone pessaries when my levels are normal might be dangerous to me or the embryo. Could you yo give me any info to feel more at ease about taking them? thanks : )
