Peri-menopause relief

by Wendy
(Portland, Oregon)

My story:
I'm 42 and female. I have had heavy painful periods for 20 years - no children, 5'5" 188 lbs.

I was always told to take 'ibuprofen' or birth contol for cramps... I don't do well on birth control so I dealt with the heavy periods and painful cramps my entire adult life.

Nov-Dec 2008 I had a period/constant bleeding heavy/lite for 2 months. Terrible stomach distention... weight gain and very depressed... gained 15 lbs in 2 months.

The OBGYN said 'could' be peri-menopause symptoms and recommended 'mirena' iud... after a painful biopsy and research on mirena I chose to research natural relief.

December 2008 I received my first order of Natpro, no exaggeration, I felt relief the 1st day.

I have also always had very rough heels (feet) within 1.5 weeks, I 'randomly' noticed how 'soft' my heels had become! I mean I had deep, painful, hard core cracks... overall my skin feels great... and that was never the reason for using Natpro.

My period is now back on track, hot flashes mild, distended gut only happens when I eat the wrong food (e.g. wheat etc. allergies). I'm working out and have actually lost 5 lbs.

I love this progesterone treatment... it really works... thank God! Most importantly my mental health/anxiety is back in the 'manageable' catergory.

By the way, I apply the cream 2x a day on my stomach.

Thank you!

Peri-menopause relief

Hi Wendy. Thanks for sharing this wonderful news! 20 years is a long time to suffer so needlessly, I wish more women knew about progesterone, I wish I had when younger too. Interesting you mention birth control didn't suit you, it prevents ovulation, which means no progesterone is being made by the ovaries, not a good thing. And I'm relieved you didn't opt for the IUD, it's impregnated with progestins, so would have made you feel as bad as the pills. The only safe IUD is the copper T.

I also had rough heels, cracks too and was most surprised those went! I've subsequently come across studies done on progesterone showing it's very beneficial to the skin, any skin. Over the years I've really noticed this benefit. Finally the mental health/anxiety should get better as progesterone activates the GABA receptor sites. GABA is our most calming neurotransmitter. When progesterone levels drop, GABA is affected. Low GABA causes anxiety and panic attacks. Incidentally the cream can be used anywhere, particularly good for burns, aches and pains, minor wounds and cuts, leg ulcers, wonderful on the face. Take care Wray.
