PCOS and dosages

by Tammy
(Texas)

Wray, I just placed my order for 3 tubes and plan on a starter dosage of 200-300 mg. I have PCOS with heavy periods, tiredness, acne, and sometimes hair loss as my main symptoms in addition to my cystic ovaries.

I'm really afraid and fearful of having to go through the estrogen dominance part in the beginning before the progesterone becomes dominant. With a dosage of 200-300 mg. for a woman who is 164 lbs. and 5'4, how long should it take to see the progesterone to be dominant and the horrible symptoms of estrogen go away?

PCOS and dosages

Hi Tammy I do agree about the Oestrogen Dominance! But the amount you've decided to use is extremely good, so if you have any problems, I'd be surprised. But it's hard to tell, as I've found the more oestrogen a woman has the worse the symptoms. It's also impossible to tell how long it will take before progesterone becomes dominant. You might like to look at our Saliva Test results. These women didn't have PCOS, but their level increased rapidly within the month between the before and after tests. They were only using 80 to 100mg/day. PCOS is caused by oxidative stress, and it is possible to reverse. Have you seen our page on it? The most important nutrient is vitamin D, please have a test done. For more info please see the Vitamin D council and GrassrootsHealth websites. Take care Wray
