Ovarian cyst post menopause and now bleeding

by Cindy
(Georgia)

Please help! I have visited this site numerous times over the years once starting with the change of life. The progesterone cream has helped me tremendously over the years. I am now 57 years old. I am post menopausal. I have not bled for about 6 years. I have recently been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst the size of a golf ball. I have increased by progesterone cream to 160-180mg in hopes of this shrinking the cyst. A few days later I am now bleeding bright red and feel sick in every way. I have no energy at all. I am also being treated with an antibiotic for a mild case of diverticulitis. Which is how the cyst was discovered. I had a CT scan done to check for diverticulitis.

Is this bleeding normal at this stage. Should I continue with the amount of cream I am using or should I adjust it up or down. I have been using Smokey Mountain Progesterone cream with much success. I feel I have messed myself up by adjusting my cream.

Thank you in advance for responding

Hi Cindy

When one changes the amount of progesterone used it can cause a disruption which I feel is happening to you now. Time is needed for the body to adjust. When in Menopause bleeding can take place but shouldn't last long, a month or two. If the bleeding continues I suggest that you see your doctor.

Excess estrogen could be the cause of your cyst. Speaking from personal experience, I used to suffer terribly with ovarian cysts. It was only until progesterone became dominant that my cysts cleared up. It is possible that progesterone is not dominant in your case. May I suggest that you consider using a good progesterone cream such as Natpro and increase the amount to 200mg per day, every day and see how you get on. You may need to experiment with the amount to see what suits you.

If you haven't done so already, please page on Ovarian Cysts. Diverticulitis is one of many Inflammatory diseases.

Thank you for responding. I will order Natpro and use 200mg daily as advised. I have gone to my doctor and the cyst has already shrunk in size since the CT scan. So hopefully I will get along even better after using Natpro at the higher amount.

I would also like to order the Energy Boost Formula. Do you know when this will be back in stock? I thank you and Wray from the bottom of my heart for all the help on this site. I could not have made it without searching here for answers to my many questions over the years.

Hi Cindy

I am quite sure that Natpro will help you greatly. Remember that it is not an overnight fix, it takes time and patience.

Unfortunately the Energy Boost has been discontinued. Admin will be making changes to this effect. You might consider trying some of the nutrients mentioned on the information provided.
