Ok here I go..

by Ann

I have been using 40mg of progesterone daily for almost two months, my hair is falling terribly.
I know that 100mg is the minimum dose but I was so afraid to take that much but now I'm jumping in and will trust the information on this site.
Would love to see others comment on their success with progesterone.

Joy if you are reading this thanks for all your help to those like myself trying to balance their hormones.
Is it possible to fix this site? Links don't work via email and maybe remove Wray's name? Just a bit strange to get emails from those no longer with us.

Thanks!!

Hi my experience
by: Anonymous

I was afraid at first too. When I first started I was on 100mg, but soon saw that I needed so much more to battle the estrogen dominance. Long story short, I went all the way up to 900 once, then down to 200 for a while.. well that wasn’t enough and now I’m at 500mg again. I feel so much better. I have hashimotos and according to my urine (Dutch test) analysis, I’m not even really making progesterone.

Things will even out eventually, just be consistent. I used it through the cycles too, I’m back to doing that again until I feel stable enough. Be careful of stress, too. It will eat all your good stuff up, it’s why I had to increase again!
Good luck

I just went up in dosage and feel much better

Hi,

I was taking 40mg/ day for about a week at first and then read this site and about 3 days ago I started using around 240mg/ day and I'm already noticing a little bit of a difference in my moodiness.

I am also too scared to go up to 400mg/ day, but I will if advised specifically to do so based on my situation.

I also am having trouble with the posting of comments and not seeing the responses posted that I posted (unless they all have to be approved and get posted the following day, if so, apologies, I am new here).

I know the standard dose is 100mg / day so I think that for sure is safe to use. Then I read here about 100mg 2x a day and it makes really good sense.

I also want to say that I've had other hormone issues in the past and have successfully weaned myself off of other treatments, it's not too bad if you go too high.

Thanks for posting, I was getting confused too about the posting / way to get approval for posts and also scared to go higher on progesterone. This helped.

(Note from moderator: Hello newtoprogesteroneagain, there is a time delay from when you upload a new post and when it displays on the site as the posts do have to go through a moderate filter process to ensure there is no spamming etc. taking place. Thank you for your understanding.)

Hi Ann

I am pleased that you increased to 100mg, between 100-200mg is needed, more if symptoms are severe.
There are a number of things that can cause Hair Loss, thyroid problems could be one of them. Please read How to use Progesterone Cream.

Vitamin D3 is very important as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone, optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL. Nothing less than 5,000iu's is needed daily. Co-factors are needed when taking D3, magnesium and vitamin K2 with no soy are the important ones.

Regarding this site. I have nothing to do with the running or maintenance of the site, Wray's daughter and brother do this and is up to them if they want to remove Wray's name or not. I am sure they have taken note of your comment.

Thanks for the updates

Thanks Joy for that information, yes I take the supplements recommended and have hypothyroidism that has been under control well for 10 years. I'm excited and nervous to see how my body responds.
I read many times about increasing ones dose but also read it takes between 3-6 months to feel the full affects so would it be wise to give the minimum 100mg dose at least 3 months before increasing?

Ladies, thanks for chiming in. I will make an effort to post continuous updates so that people can see what happens once you start, I see a few people do that but they're usually asking questions over and over I would like to do it for just informational purposes and maybe we can conversate between us for gaining more knowledge.

Happy Natpro creaming ; )

Hi Ann

It takes 2-6 months for positive results to be felt. If 100mg is not helping then increase to 200mg after a week or 2, not 3 months. You will need to experiment with the amount of cream that you need. Please also read the Estrogen Dominance page.
