Can progesterone help prevent miscarriages?

I have had 10 and I’m on number 11 now and so far so good but, I feel progesterone would protect my baby so much more!

Hi Monica

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Low progesterone levels can cause many miscarriages. A minimum of 200mg progesterone is needed. Please read the Pregnancy and Miscarriage pages and the references given.

Vitamin D3 is also important as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone. Optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL. Magnesium is also important.
