Mirena and Synthetic Natural Progestorone

I have had endometriosis and Adenomyosis for 8 years now. I have a Mirena fitted which appears to have reduced Adenomyosis slightly. It looks like the Mirena which releases Levonorgestrel progestin might not be strong enough to fight both Endo and Adenomyosis. It has been suggested that 2 x Mirena should work more effectively. I wanted to try Synthetic Natural Progestorone with the Mirena first and see if I can reduce/remove my stomach pain problems.

I have read you shouldn't use a natural progesterone with a progestin.

Can you please let me know the risks if you do. Do you know of anyone using progesterone cream with a Mirena fitted? Was it successful?

thanks
Jo
