I have four children and have breast fed them all. However, I have always felt that my milk supply is not very good and have heard this may be related to low progesterone? Is this true?
In my own experience, I had 2 miscarriages (that my doctor believes are related to my low progesterone). I had 2 healthy pregnancies that led to healthy babies. I had to use progesterone to keep both pregnancies. I tried desperately to breastfeed both of my children. My body only made about 20% of the breast milk that their little bodies required..... no matter WHAT I did, I could not get an adequate milk supply going. My doctor believes that there is a link.
