Hv hyperpigmentatiom on my cheek bones since 4 years. Started with single spot n now r prominent 2 inch circles. Hv been going to a dermat tried all possible cream n peels but keeps coming back . I hv heavy periods n my iron is less m anaemic other than that m under stress as m the bread winner of the family n a difficult relationship . Should I go to a endocrinologist would that help as I read about adrenal fatigue n kind of relate to that

Hi Shilpa

Melasma can be caused by excess estrogen and is a sign of adrenal stress. Please read a similar post, it will explain things to you – see here.

Hope this helps.
