Lyme, Autoimmune, Weight gain and scared. Using cream non stop. ???

by Karen
(Seattle, WA)

I am 38, show clear symptoms of low progesterone and estrogen dominance. I just ordered the cream. I am in the midst of healing from chronic Lyme with autoimmune issues, gaining weight like a freight train and full of water in my lower half. I am 5'6" and 162lbs. I feel like I'm going to pop.

It looks like I should be getting at least 100mg of progesterone to combat my symptoms... maybe more? My cycle usually comes after day 35, I spot and then start in full 3 days later. Very painful.

Should I be using the cream non stop until my symptoms get better? I am terrified of gaining more weight and not getting the proper mg per day.

Anyone with weight loss success stories with the cream?

Lyme, Autoimmune, Weight Gain and Scared. Using cream non stop??

Hi Karen

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling great. I am a bit puzzled though when you say you have just ordered the cream, what cream would that be as Natpro has been out of stock for a while now. The amounts quoted on this website refer to Natpro Progesterone Cream, if using another brand you will need to double the amount they suggest in most cases. This probably explains why you have not felt any benefit yet, not enough progesterone is being used with the correct progesterone concentration.

Weight gain could be put down to a number of things. If using progesterone cream, it means that not enough progesterone is being used. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream page, if not used correctly it will not work and causes all sorts of adverse symptoms like weight gain. It could also mean that you are suffering from Insulin Resistance, have you been tested? The Ketogenic Diet is excellent for those with weight problems etc. Progesterone cream should be used for 2-6 months every day with no breaks at all, longer maybe needed and the amount of cream suggested may need to be adjusted, it would be up to you to experiment with this. Continue using every day until your symptoms improve. Please read and understand the Estrogen Dominance page.

Lyme disease is dreadful, do you know what your Vitamin D3 level is as it is usually low with those suffering with Lyme disease. A deficiency also reduces the benefits of progesterone, it fact, it is vital for better health. Please read this page on Wray’s website. Louise gives some valuable advice on Lyme disease, please read the entire page and well as reference papers given by Wray.

I took the quiz on the right hand side of this website "do you have a progesterone deficiency?" and after the quiz it gave me the option to buy at a reduced cost. I received a shipping confirmation this week, too. Should I be worried?

Thank you for your comments. I'll read it all!
