Yes, that is an old school thought processs - completely outdated and untrue. That old theory is not supported by physiology, biochemistry or science. Progesterone receptors have been identified in almost every cell in the body. Therefore, we know progesterone has functions throughout the entire body. But also be sure that you are referring to natural progesterone and not a synthetic progestin.

If you don't have a uterus then it would not matter when you start as you won't be following your cycle. Based on your situation, I assume you will be taking it everyday. Keep a journal on how you feel as you may have to toy around with your dose to find what your body likes. Good luck :-)
