Early Mensus

by Joy
(Pennsylvania)

I started my period when I was 7 years old. I am now 57 and just completed menopause. I've been wondering if I've had a hormone imbalance all of my life, and if so, what do I lack? Local doctors have no answers

Early Mensus

Hi Joy

Gosh what an early age to start menstruating. It is believed that our wonderful environment is responsible for that. Please read the menstrual cycle page, it may explain things to you.

You desperately need progesterone, I am most surprised that your local doctors don't know this. Please read How to use Progesterone Cream and Estrogen Dominance.

Do you know what your Vitamin D3 level is not within range, a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone.

Hope this helps.

Hello-
I want to thank the person that took the time to respond to my post. I also failed to mention that in 2002, when I went to a local physician group, I had a blood test to determine if I was polycystic, the test came back normal, I had a thyroid test,I asked the doctor what was wrong with me and she told me "that's just you." and I'm sitting there 100 lbs. overweight and I was more lost than before, because I have had weight problems with this also. Shortly after, I went on a no sugar diet, no carb diet and I lost 60 lbs., but it took me 2 years to lose it. I had an ultrasound on my thyroid, but it was normal.
What my mom and I couldn't figure out is by the time I was 13 or 14, I had an excessive amount of facial hair for a girl of my age; by the time I was 17, I had developed excessive hair on my chin so bad that had to be professionally touched out of my senior picture. I was not overweight at the time, but at 18, I quickly gained 50 lbs. for no apparent reason. I've been using progesterone cream for about a year, and my weight has been fairly stable. I work in an office, but am active in the evenings and on the weekends, I'm rarely off my feet, I should be 120 lbs. soaking wet with the amount of activity I do and I still need to lose 50 more lbs.

Thanks for reading,
Joy
