Eager to try the progesterone

by Claire Caine
(UK)

I have developed extremely dry skin all over, even my scalp.
I have regular ish periods but wake at night a lot with sweats and needing the loo. I’m tired most of the time.
I was going to order a progesterone only pill in the UK called Cerelle but although it came
up on the net when I entered ‘progesterone’ it does state that they are ‘progestogens’. Is this the same or as safe or not?
I heard some ‘progestins’ can cause facial hair.
I don’t want to make the mistake and worsen my problems.
Can you advise please and if the pill I mentioned above Cerelle is not appropriate for my needs then how do I order your product.
Thanks in advance.

Claire.

Eager to try the progesterone

Hi Claire

You don't state your age but you could be entering Peri-Menopause as sweats/hot flashes usually start then. Please read the page on Hot Flashes/sweats. Between 100-200mg progesterone cream per day is needed. Use half in the morning and the other half at night. You may need to use more, it all depends on how severe your symptoms are, you will have to experiment with this.

I am unfamiliar with Cerelle but all oral forms of progesterone are not the best delivery method as about 96% gets destroyed by the gut and liver, Delivery Methods. Should you wish to order Natpro, here is the Order Page. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream and Estrogen Dominance pages.

There is a big difference between progesterone and progestin. Progesterone is natural, progestin is synthetic which should be avoided. There is a video on the home page explaining this, see here.
