Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but when applying the cream vaginally, how do you get it all to absorb? Am I still getting all that i need if it doesn't completely absorb?
Comments for Applying progesterone cream vaginally?
It's not a stupid question at all, but what do you mean by 'all'? The correct amount of cream should be used a minimum of twice a day. Progesterone levels start to drop after 13 hours and the aim is to keep the level as stable as possible. Please insert your night time dose in the vagina when getting into bed. If you are using a high dose, then insert some of the cream in the vagina and use the rest on your body. How to use Progesterone Cream will help you to understand more.
Provided the correct cream is used, it absorbs very well, even hair follicles absorbs the cream. The thicker the cream the more difficult it is to absorb. This is a good cream and do be careful that the cream that you insert in your vagina is a natural one.
Hope this helps.

thank you by: ES
Thank you. :) The cream I'm using has to be used 5 times a day in order to equal 100mg. I tried doing several separate doses vaginally, unfortunately the cream just didn't want to absorb. I guess because of the thickness. I put it in one night before bed and the next morning it was still mostly there. It also leaves a sticky residue.
I've heard so many conflicting things about where to apply the cream.

Hi ES
I can't really comment about inserting any other brand of progesterone cream other than Natpro, in the vagina I am afraid. I know exactly what the cream contains, I do not know the other brands.
The thicker the cream the more difficult it is to absorb which is what you are finding. There are many misconceptions about where the cream can be applied on the body. The bottom line is, it can be used anywhere on the body, even hair follicles absorb it well.
