61 yr old started Progesterone

by Ran
(Oregon, US)

I am 61, 157 lbs (down from 200+), and 5-9. I started Progesterone about 12+ months ago in regard to Prostrate Cancer. PSA is 0.86. I discovered this thru Roger Mason's books, that some of your readers have read. My recent tests were: Total-T=659, D3=36. I have increaded my D3 to 6000 now. I am still on DHEA, Dim, and Melatonin. I am looking into Pregnenolone 50mg.
I happened to try Prosterone on a sore left shoulder (possible tendonitis from 2 yrs in my right elbow) and it really helped the soreness. This is 1000mg USP creme and like others I am not sure how much I am using, may try a measuring spoon next. (doubt if I am using half of a teaspoon now). Ran

Since my post, I have raised the D to 12K and this seems to be the magic number. Shall I keep it up daily? will experiment with that. love the 'pain management'.
DHEA I have dropped to 3 times a week. DIM it seems, I can leave that off now??
Progesterone is triple what I started with, about 1/2 teaspoon now. all feels good on that.

testosterone without shots
by: Ran

Reading many of the others here used shots or gels for testosterone, I was on a cholesterol free diet, taking DHEA almost daily and started progesterone before my test of 659. Was I wrong to do this, or can't most men adjust their hormones this way??

I ordered the Natpro, because there is no real percentage on the product I am using. Hopefully there will be no down time.

I received my Natpro after ordering on the 30 of Sept. I will try it morning and evening, about less than 1/2 teaspoon to start. NO current problems, looking at advanced maintenance. I will drop the Pregnalone, DHEA at 3 times a week, and nightly Melatonin. life is fun

So it has been 8 + weeks and I just noticed that in the mirror, it looks like my left shoulder is bigger than my right. Even my bicep looks bigger. ????

I happened to drive by a woman's clinic that does Hormone balance. I bought a 2.5 oz pump of 30mg per pump, for $35.00US. I have been out for two weeks now.

Today I am back on Nat-Pro. I had some bad readings (TSH) when I was till taking 12-14K of D3 without any progesterone. Today I am starting with 20-25 ml with 4.000 D3.

Concern High Vit D Without K2
by: Anonymous

I fully believe in and have benefited by taking high doses of vitamin D3. However, every single resource I have read and each of 3 doctors consulted all stressed the criticality of taking vitamin K2 with MK-7 with D3 over 5,000 mg. per day. You may want to see what you can find out about this pairing since you are at 12,000 mg. The sources I found recommended 10,000 D3 and 100 mg of the K2 with MK-7. Dr. Mercola says without the 2, (when the D3 is over 5,000mg) that calcium goes to your coronary arteries instead of your bones.

I saw my Doctor today and could not remember what the dose is out of the Pump NatPro? I still owe her that info.

Screaming pain in my calf a few nights ago, painful to walk. Finally rubbed a full dose into the calf, it helped tremendously.

I have dropped the D3 to 8K a day. Happy with all other things I take, Doctor isn't. She had me stop all for a week and retest my CBC (thyroid problems). Clean test.

Gouda cheese has the highest amount of K2 of the cheeses. With rising A1c, I am now on a high fat/low carb diet.
