3 miscarriages - now this pregnancy is in the balance!

by Husband
(USA)

I'm actually writing on behalf of my wife. We've lost 3 babies, with finally a success on the fourth (a beautiful 14 mo. boy, we'll call him BB here).

After miscarrying the first three, the Dr. finally did a hormone test with BB's pregnancy. We found my wife to be low on Progesterone. LONG (and emotional) story made short: we were able to get a vag. suppository-Prochieve. Prochieve proved successful in keeping the baby.

NOW, with this pregnancy, we discovered Prochieve is no longer available. The other option (Crinone)is over $200 per week, and we are discovering her Progesterone levels are decreasing!! She is about 6-7 weeks along.

This is VERY stressful as we wait to see what will happen in the coming 1-2 weeks. Can my wife overcome this chronic progesterone deficiency? Can she ever be healed? We believe this child is a gift.

3 miscarriages - now this pregnancy is in the balance!
by: Wray

Hi there Having had 5 miscarriages myself, I know how you both feel. You say the doctor finally did a hormone test after 3 miscarriages. This is always the case, why I have no idea. A lack of progesterone is often the reason for a miscarriage, how difficult is it to do a test when first pregnant, just as a precaution? I'm so behind in my replies, I do hope I'm not too late. I've helped many women have successful pregnancies, with full term births and who now have beautiful babies. And all these just with a progesterone cream. It is as effective as any injection or suppository, the skin absorbs progesterone extremely well. If used in the vagina too, it's carried straight to the uterus where it's needed within minutes. We do have a page on Pregnancy, please read through it for more info. Take care Wray
