2 miscarriage and now 4 weeks pregnant

I've had 2 miscarriages in the last 12 months and have just found out I'm pregnant again. I've started Cyclogest 400mg twice a day with low dose aspirin once a day. Both miscarriages were at the seven week stage. Scans showed that the foetus had stopped growing at about 5 weeks. I'm 43 and feel that this realistically should be our last try as I worry for a child growing up with older parents. Both myself and my husband had lots of blood tests all of which came back ok. I've had to push my consultant to start me on meds as she wanted to wait until post scan at seven weeks. Which I felt was too late.

Can you give me any further advice or encouragement in our quest to have a much wanted baby?

It was only reading your site that made me press my consultant for the hormone treatment sooner. Thank you so much for your wonderful website and the hope that this has given me that we will be third time lucky :)

Hello Michelle!
I cannot give any advice on progesterone therapy during pregnancy, but type in pregnancy in the google bar on the first page of this site and read all the information. What I can give you is encouragement in that the child is a miracle of God and love, at any age, knows no age. That child will never question why you had him/her at the age you did....love doesn't care about that. My prayers go to you to carry this child to a healthy term. Follow Wray's recommendations on progesterone use during pregnancy, it cannot hurt, but only help. All the best and God Bless! RJ

 Look Under Miscarriage & Problems with Pregnancy

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Research under "Miscarriages" and "Problems with Pregnancy".
My Sis-in-law used natural progesterone to get pregnant and you also MUST have high enough amounts after you conceive to hold on to the pregnancy. I hope this helps.

 Progesterone Treatment

I would like to find something out.

I have had previous miscarriages.I am pregnant agian now so my Dr said that I should take Utrogestan 200mg in the morning and Cyclogest 200mg in the evening. Is it safe to take two different types of medication? This really has me worried because previously I have only used Utrogestan.
