No break in progesterone cream use

Hi, I am 40 years old and have been dealing with a multiple medication nightmare since the death of my husband over a year ago. I was put on two antidepressants and a benzo, which I have been trying to taper off of for several months. I use the yam derived progesterone cream daily, about 225mg. I order this through a pharmacy and the pharmacist recommends I DO NOT stop using it to cycle. I am having light somewhat irregular periods. My question is, is it okay to use progesterone without the normal break? Could it cause problems when used every day without pause? Thank you for any insight.
