My story and how no doctor believes me!

by Bevy
(Scotland )

I have suffered all of the following:

1. acid reflux
2. Recurring tonsilitis (had them removed)
3. Anxiety
4. Oral thrush
5. Rapid weight loss
6. Migraines
7. Swollen lymph nodes (two removed)
8. Recurring finger and tie conditions because of the cold
9. Anger, crying
10. Alcohol intolerance
11. Dry eyes
12. Fatigue
14. Dark patches on my face
15. Accelerated aging
16. Depression
17. Thick endremetrial tissue
18. PMDD
19. Womb and ovary removal

After the hysterectomy I'm taking large doses of progesterone cream after 2 years feeling like my life was over!

Why the f@@k do doctors in UK not believe in progesterone definciency?? I'm livid that I've lost years off my 20's and 30's thinking I was mad. I could have had my life back years ago.

I'm no where near perfect but a million times better than I was. My skin and body recovering slowly and I have weight gain for the first time in 8 years!

My anxiety better and I have moisture in my body...my skin and hair was so dry I thought I was dying!

I'm building up my dose and started getting night sweats so fingers crossed I am nearly there!

One question....should I at 34 take a tiny dose of estriol every other day like some pro progesterone doctors/therapists suggest?

Bev X

My story...
by: Rachel

Hi there. I'm in the UK too. Believe me, I share your fury at the ignorance of doctors here! I head fibroids removed and when I woke from the opportunity, they'd fitted a Mirena coil and hand' t even asked if I wanted one. That's when things got really out of control for me. Not one doctor seemed to know how to help other that prescribe synthetic hormones! Finding this site literally saved my life and all my relationships! I was a nutcase. And I was scared all the time because I had no idea what was happening to me. I can't advise on estriol because I know absolutely nothing about it. Hopefully someone else here can.
I hope you feel hugely better and less stressed very soon. Lots of love.

My story and how no doctor believes me!

Hello Bev!
Do not feel bad...the States don't believe in it either. Why would doctors recommend something that would make you feel better and improve ailments....they would never see you and their pocketbooks would shrink. Think how much money they have made off of your suffering over all those years. You know your body better than any entity out there...don't worry if your doctor believes you or not. Believe in yourself and that you can make yourself better. Read Wray's site...tons of wonderful information for you to improve your health. Personally, I wouldn't take any form of estrogen. Your bodies' fat cell make alot of estrogen as do all the environmental mimics. You are on the right track. Be aware you may have to increase dosage...it's trial and error. Best of luck to you! God Bless! RJ

Bio Estrogen therapy
by: Diane

Hi Bevy!! Thank God you found Bio Progesterone therapy! You have suffered needlessly as I and so many women have at the hands of comventioanl doctors who REFUSE to learn the benefits of bio Progesterone. Give your body time... You will slowly heal and be a new you.
As far as your question about Bio Estrogen. I would be Very careful with estrogen. I know you had a hysterectomy but our environment is full of estrogens in our foods and such. And our body makes it in our fat stores. Having said that, I have on and off used a VERY LOW dose of bio E patch 0.025 to help treat breakthrough hot flashes. I have a very clean diet.. Organic grass fed meats, dairy free, purified water.. I hardly have body fat for I have always struggled to keep weight on. So I dont believe I have hardly any estrogen exposure internally and environmentally. So this is why I chose to try VERY low dose E patch. If you choose to try it, NEVER use Oral or synthetic estrogen. It MUST be Bioidentical And transdermal. Keep vigilant over estrogen dominant symptoms...swollen tender breasts, excessive weight gain, PMS, anxiety etc... I have had relief from hot flashes since on the lowest dose E patch and 300mg Progesterone cream daily. NEVER use esteogen with out also using Progesterone cream. Make sure you read the page on Estrogen dominance on this web site.. Very informative. Also, a great book that I constantly refer back to is written by a integrative MD, Dr. Michael Platt, "The Miracle of Bioidentical Hormones". He discusses all forms of hormone therapy and how to safely do so,, very educational book!
Bevy! Keep up the good fight. Read read read.. Especially the page on Estrogen dominance on this website. Get dr Platt's book too.
Keep us all posted on how you do.
Blessings
Diane

My story and how no doctor believe me!

Hi Bevy

As RJ said, it’s not only in the UK, it’s world-wide. Most doctors either do not understand the benefits of progesterone or simply do not 'want' to know, opting for a drug instead, more money in promoting drugs! I miss the doctors from the olden days when they actually cared about their patience, sadly a different story today however.

A hysterectomy would have put you straight into MENOPAUSE, please do a Google search on this website. Most of your adverse symptoms listed are all due to ESTROGEN DOMINANCE. Thank goodness that you took your health into your own hands and went the progesterone route. You don’t state how much progesterone you are using, but nothing less than 200-400mg would help you greatly. In fact 400-500mg is needed to help knock those night sweats into place, once they clear, you can slowly start to reduce the amount of cream used. HOW TO USE PROGESTERONE CREAM will help you understand so much more. Do make sure that you use a cream that contains the correct progesterone concentration, this will make the world of difference. You may also need to take some oil as in MCT oil and/or Omega 3 Fish Oil. This helps with dry skin and hair. Have you read the ANXIETY page, if not please do.

We do not believe that any woman needs to take ANY kind of estrogen whatsoever! There are well over 100 estrogen mimics in our environment as it is, why take more? Do you know what your Vitamin D3 level is as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone?

All the best.

My Story ...
by: Joy

Hi Rachel

Well I am horrified to read that you were fitted with a Mirena without your permission, how dare they?! The Mirena is possibly one of the worst CONTRACEPTIVES on the market today. Please do a Google search on this website. In fact there is a law suit going on with the manufacturers because of the adverse symptoms it causes. And then to fit it when you suffer from FIBROIDS, the mind boggles. Fibroids are caused by oxidative stress and unless that is dealt with your will battle to get rid of them, even after having them removed.

A nutcase = ESTROGEN DOMINANCE, your hormones needed to be balanced. It can be a scary thing and so many doctors often suggest anti-depressants or worse still, psychiatric treatment, when all is needed is the balancing of one’s hormones! It’s as simple as that.

Where do you get cream that is 300 mg
by: Tina

Hi all, I have been taking oral Prometrium 200 mg each night as it seems to be helping with my autoimmune disease. Where can I get a cream that supplies 200 to 300 mg of progesterone. It seems as if I would have to apply a whole cup of the cream to get that many milligrams ?

Where can I get a cream that is 300mg
by: Joy

Hi Tina

You must be thinking in millimetres and not milligrams. 250ml is a cup, 200mg is 6ml which is slightly more than a metric teaspoon which is 5ml. Please read How to use Progesterone Cream, look for the conversion chart.

You can order by visiting this website.

Take care.

estriol cream
by: Mary

Hi Bevy
I have been using Natpro for the past 4 years, between 300 -400mg a day. It has really helped me and I feel great except for a really dry vagina and constant hair loss. To see if I could do anything about this I decided to introduce a small amount of estriol cream for the last 3 months. It has worked really well for the dryness, although the hair loss seems unaltered. The important thing to note if you do use any estrogen is to make sure it is natural and to only use estriol not any of the others. Estriol is the weakest of the estrogens and the safest. There is a lot of info online,so have a look (see life extension magazine-Estriol: it's weakness is it's strength) I use Biovea estriol cream which you can order online in the UK. Good luck and keep reading on this site, it has a wealth of info.

Hairloss
by: Diane

Hi Mary,
Remember hair falls out and grows in cycles, hence why maybe you haven't noticed hair regrowth yet.
Have you had your thyroid checked? Make sure it is a complete Thryroid panel, not just TSH and T4 like most regular doctors do.
Keep us posted on how you do, because many women suffer from hairloss and dryness issues.
Blessings,
Diane
