Maintenance with a cycle

Would it be recommended to stay on a dose of 100mg to 200mg to maintain progesterone levels with a menstrual cycle? Or is that only for someone who is in post menopause? During the monthly cycle, can I take more during the luteal phase and then back down to 100/200mg for the rest of the month? Unless it’s better to give the liver/body a rest for 14 days? 100-200mg won’t stop a period from showing up, will it?

That is difficult to say.  Progesterone therapy needs to be used according to one's symptoms.  The 100-200mg is merely a guideline.  It would be up to the individual to experiment to see what works for them.  Nothing less than 100mg is needed as I am sure you have read on this website.  Please read How to use Progesterone Cream and take note of Estrogen Dominance symptoms.

I am not sure where you are getting that the liver must take a break.  That is one of many progesterone misconceptions.  If you have a regular monthly cycle, then use the cream by following your cycle..  If not, progesterone should be used every day until things return to normal.

It is recommended that progesterone is used every day when in Peri-Menopause and Menopause. I am 68 and have been using Natpro every day with NO breast for about 19 years and I will continue to do so until I am no longer on this earth.

Take care.
