How to calculate ratio to determine estrogen dominance using E3G and PDG?

by Olivia
(Australia )

Good afternoon,

I’ve been using an at-home hormone tracker which uses urine analysis. E3G is in ng/ml and PDG is in ug/ml.

Can someone please provide the formula to calculate the ratio?

Blood tests are harder and more limited in my opinion unless you are very sure about the date you ovulated in any given cycle that you test, plus it’s hard for me to get to a lab. I live in a remote area with limited testing access.

Hoping someone can help with my question.

Cheers,
Olivia

Hi Olivia

May I suggest that you contact the maker of the tracker and ask them how to work out the formula, or perhaps someone reading this can help. I can only work out ratios using blood and saliva which have worked well over the years. You may like to read the Hormone Testing page.

If you are not supplementing with progesterone you are more than likely suffering from Estrogen Dominance.

Hi,
Did you find anything on this? I am interested in this as well. I did find this that says there is a correlation but not sure on exact ratios. https://academic.oup.com/hropen/article/2023/1/hoac058/6955605
