White fluid is coming out

by Celista
(Hyderabad)

As I have done IUI after 4 days the doctor advised me to take Susten gel 8.0 to insert in vagina for 14 days. I started on 24th march my periods date is 5th march so if I'm not pregnant then when should I expect for periods? Periods will come on 5th or after 1 week?

Please advise, because white fluid is discharging in me. When this happens it means that for me periods are going to come. Please advise me.

White fluid is coming out

Hi Celista. I don't understand why he only gave you the Susten for 14 days. Stopping supplemental progesterone if you're pregnant will bring on a miscarriage. It must be used continuously, until either a period occurs, in which case you're not pregnant, or until pregnancy is confirmed, in which case you should continue with it for at least 4 months, if not longer. It's far safer to always use progesterone weeks, if not months before an intended pregnancy. This gives the body time to adjust to the higher levels of progesterone. If the white fluid is an indication to you your period is due, then it will come at the same time it always does after it appears. For more information of pregnancy, please see here. Take care, Wray
