Topical Prometrium

by Anonymous

Anyone know if Prometrium is effective used topically? How much would I absorb? Some say progesterone needs to be combined with Vitamin E to absorb and I don’t believe Prometrium has vitamin E. Didn’t Prometrium use to be made from Horse urine? Now it’s yams? Are there any alternative prescription bio-identical USP progesterone brand that doesn’t contain peanut oil? Thanks for reading.

Prometrium is effective if used TOPICALLY.. How much you would absorb would depend on how much you are using. This website is based on Natpro progesterone cream which is a 3% organic cream. Usually between 100-200mg is needed, more if symptoms are severe. If using anything else, please make sure that it equates to Natpro. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream and Estrogen Dominance pages.

The HRT Premarin is made from the urine of a pregnant mare. Not what we recommend, in fact, all HRT has a potential to cause harm. You can research any product to see exactly what it contains.

Thanks Joy! So how much Prometrium would be needed to match 100mg of Natpro, let's say. Prometrium is 100mg each capsule. Do you think peanut oil is an issue absorbing into skin? I just hope it's molecules are too large to soak in and instead, it's the progesterone only that absorbs.
